23 months. 

Almost two!

Right now he’s into throwing his toys up in the air and yelling “dunk it high!”

He runs back and forth as fast as he can and yells “hockey player! Skates! Skate fast!” and I love the way he giggles while he’s doing that.

He’s really good at pronouncing his words, but for some reason he says “oh doo-ning!” instead of “what you doing?”

He loves dancing to music and when other people are dancing, he starts laughing and yells “dancing!!”

He still doesn’t sleep through the night. We had a few nights where he slept for 5-6 hours straight in his crib and I considered that a monumental success. I have just failed at sleep training, but I really don’t care. I care more about him feeling secure and loved and having his needs met than worrying about him adhering to my sleep schedule. We are still mostly cosleeping and I don’t care about that either. I love his snuggles and I don’t care if people want to judge me for doing it.

He is still nursing every night, multiple times. I felt irritated about it for awhile and wondered if he would ever stop, but I’m over that now. I know he could stop at any time and I am just thankful that we made it two years successfully and I’m going to enjoy whatever time we have left.

He loves singing “Happy Birthday” and “Twinkle Star”… and he talks a lot about random family members when we are riding in the car. His favorite people to talk about are Uncle Stephen, Aunt Livy, Gram Gram, and Christian (his babysitter’s grandson).

He loves going to church and has random outbursts of “Bible, Jesus” at home. Any of his books that are based on a Bible story he calls Bible Jesus books… Gram Gram got him an ark last week and he carries Noah around calling him Jesus. I love his childlike enthusiasm.

He is obsessed with Pudge, but he is also somewhat mean to Pudge. Poor Pudge. We are working on teaching him that it is not ok to hit animals or poke their eyeballs or pull their tails or pinch their ears.
