I can’t believe how fast this summer is going and how fast my pregnancy has gone this time. Granted, I have a busy job and a VERY busy toddler helping me pass the time.
I’m 33 weeks today. I had a growth check for baby this morning and she’s weighing in around 4.5 pounds and in the 60th percentile. I looked up pictures of preterm babies her current size to try to picture what she looks like right now. It really hit me today that a real baby girl is about to be part of our family, very soon.
I remember that was such a surreal moment during my c-section with Spencer, seeing him in the flesh for the first time. Not an ultrasound picture or a bulge poking out of my abdomen. A real flailing, crying, pink and wrinkly baby. I’m so excited to experience that again in 6 weeks.
I took this week off because Spencer’s babysitter was on vacation, and I’m so glad I did. It was wonderful to just relax and have a bunch of time to just spend with my firstborn before #2 gets here. We had a ton of fun together and it got me really excited to stay home with them in a few weeks.
Of course, Jordan’s car chose this week to enter into the next life so now we’re looking at adding in a car payment while I’m not working as much. Normally I’d be panicking but we’re both just feeling confident that things will work out and God will provide a way just like always.
