…are headed our way. 3-5″ of rain expected this weekend.. yikes. So, we got out this evening and enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted.
Some updates…
I haven’t been posting as much because I’ve been crazy busy with work. May is probably my busiest month with volunteer groups and I’ve been a little overwhelmed trying to keep everything coordinated this month, especially only working part-time. I’m really enjoying my job though.
Spencer has 3 teeth coming in right now… 1 random top tooth that’s already poked through, and 2 molars that are taking their dear sweet time. He has been testing everyone’s patience lately and yet we couldn’t love him any more.
As if May isn’t hectic enough, it looks like we’ll be preparing to move in June. Unfortunately our leasing office decided to jack our rent up yet again, and we could technically afford it, but feel like it’s just getting a little into the “not really worth it” range. We can definitely find something cheaper, and it might not be as nice, but we’d rather put that money towards other things. It’s kind of sad to think about leaving the home we had our first baby in, but it’s exciting to shop around other options. This was the only apartment community we even looked at when we moved here.
And can I just talk real quick about the fact that my child will NOT stop eating his books? It’s beyond frustrating. Every single book he can get his hands on has the cover/binder chewed to shreds. Amazingly, he leaves the actual pages alone. He loves being read to though and is so smart… he knows a lot of words and points out all the things he recognizes.
