The great windshield miracle of 2017.

I’m mildly embarrassed to tell this story, but it’s kind of hilarious.

Let me preface by saying that Jordan and I drive the same kind of car, only different colors, and his windshield has a huge crack across it which we were planning to get fixed when we got our tax refund.

Our church has been doing a really great series about finances and managing our money in a Biblical way. Last night was a very interesting and informative message about tithing. I was so personally inspired that I insisted we pay our tithe by writing a check before we left the church. We usually do an online payment and it just doesn’t feel like I’m really paying something when it’s online, because I’m old-school that way. 😜

I left church feeling very hopeful and at peace with the fact that we were being obedient again and paying our tithe, even though we aren’t sure how it will work with our budget. Unfortunately it has been some time since we regularly paid tithes, because we felt like we couldn’t afford to do it (ha). My faith was restored last night though, and I know that this is something we need to do without excuse. We can’t expect God to bless us if we aren’t being obedient.

Fast forward to the drive home. (In my car – FYI). I look at the windshield and start flipping out and legitimately think that I just witnessed a miracle because the windshield no longer has a huge crack across it. A few brief moments of sheer elation pass before I am hit with the revelation that we are not even in the car with the broken windshield. I then start laughing so hysterically that Spencer, who was already on edge from the nursery, is terrified and starts wailing.

And that is the story of the great windshield miracle of 2017.
